June 26, 2003 marks the 40th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's famed 'Ich bin ein Berliner' speech in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, acclaiming solidarity between the U.S. and Germany. His words raised a few chuckles from the crowd, reports Reuters in a story commemorating the event, because 'Ich bin ein Berliner' also means 'I am a jelly donut.'  Or so the urban legend goes...
