Citibank scamCitibank Warns Customers of Email 'Phishing' Scam

"Recently our customers have reported receiving fraudulent emails that appear to be from Citibank but which are, in fact, sent by imposters," warns a special message on Citibank.com. "How can you tell the difference? Fraudulent emails typically include attachments, request personal information, or both."

Presently, an email scam is circulating which sends users to Citibank's site by way of spoofed URL that launches a pop-up window (see screen shot at right) demanding debit card information for "login" purposes. Don't be fooled! View an example of the scam spam here.
