A fast-spreading email rumor surfaced earlier this week blaming Procter & Gamble's Swiffer WetJet floor cleaner for the deaths due to liver failure of a 5-year-old German Shepherd and two cats. The message is anonymous, however, and no authenticating information is provided. Procter & Gamble maintains the product has been thoroughly tested and is safe for use in homes with pets.
