The Herald Sun reported earlier this week that a family in Durham, North Carolina called police after finding what appeared to be a breaded, fully-cooked baby's foot in a container of chicken purchased at a local supermarket. The police, in turn, called in the state medical examiner to analyze the object. To everyone's relief, it was determined the following day to be a hoax — a lump of dough cleverly sculpted into the shape of a baby's foot. Police say the tampering appears to have been an isolated incident.
