A 1,000-pound feral hog nicknamed "Hogzilla" was the talk of the Net over the weekend as folks debated whether wild pigs really grow that large in Dixie or it's just another backwoods tall tale. A spokesman for the Department of Natural Resources in Georgia, where hunter Chris Griffin says he shot and killed Hogzilla last month, claimed he had never heard of a specimen of comparable size. The only proof of Hogzilla's existence, unfortunately, is a photograph some say probably exaggerates its apparent proportions. This isn't the first time such an image has cropped up, however. A photo circulating since last March via forwarded email shows a hunter standing next to a 800-pound razorback hog he purportedly bagged in Arkansas. Is it real? You decide.
