Despite Internet rumors to the contrary, "American Idol" reject William Hung is not dead, nor did he O.D. on heroin this past month. "I'm healthy and energetic as ever," the sometime Berkeley engineering student assured the San Francisco Chronicle last week — an understatement, considering he's currently touring Asia, taping a two-part special for Chinese television, shooting a feature film in Singapore and Hong Kong, and planning a Christmas album for release this winter. Truly, he who laughs last laughs best.
