Note from a reader regarding the "G.W. Bush Has a Low IQ" hoax:
Hmm, you said you could find no trace of the Lovenstein Institute. That's strange, because a Google search yielded http://lovenstein.org/. I wonder how much you actually researched this? In light of Bush's foreign policy (or lack thereof) and decision-making processes, I find it hard not to believe he has the IQ of kitty litter. Used kitty litter, to be specific.Allow me to direct your attention to the WHOIS registration for lovenstein.org, which states that the Internet domain wasn't created until August 7, 2001 one month after the infamous Bush IQ hoax began circulating. Note, too, that the owner of lovenstein.org is listed as a "private registrant." Whoever actually runs the unabashedly anti-Bush Website doesn't want their identity known. As for the fabled Lovenstein Institute itself, I'm afraid it still doesn't exist, nor can wishing make it so.

He’s still a moron…
Bud,
He is a lot smarter than you are, and he actually has a real life.
It never surprises me to see partisan liberal Democrats referring to those with whom they disagree with as morons, idiots, Bushbots, and Nazis, et cetera, all the while trumpeting their eruditeness while misspelling every fourth word and showing a disdain for the rules of grammar.
But perhaps most important and most tragic is the inability of so many to be able to distinguish between intelligence and wisdom. Many an intelligent person has lacked the wisdom to get out of the rain. Yet for emoting liberals, facts are not only relative, there’re irrelevant. And if the secular-progressives can’t obfuscate when faced with facts, they become aliterate.
Regardless if Bush ha s low IQ, you have to admit, he is plain incoherent. The man has made so many public speaking errors there is a book on it. You can’t deny that the man cannot articulate his feeling and/or he is hiding something from us with all those slip-ups. The man is not bright. He has developed some of the worst policies and plans enacted next to Carter. Carter stands as a glorified example of intelligence doesn’t necessarily define a great president. Carter was likely to be one of the most successful presidents because he came off as the brightest with the most potential for public good. Yet he had one of the most failed administration. (obviously next to George W. Bush, which I’m sorry but you can’t argue that, if you do, you’re in a powerful denial.) Even if the story isn’t true, and it was made for humor it did its job. They do say the funniest humor is true humor.
What’s really funny is that at least once a year since 2001 someone posts a link to this “study” in one political discussion forum or another to prove that Republicans are dumber than Democrats. Said loser usually changes his nym and/or slinks off quietly amidst the derisive laughter.
Although I am a liberal myself, the study from the so called Lovenstein Institute was clearly biased. For starters, the sheer fact that George W. Bush actually made it through Harvards MBA program with just average grades is a sign he is not necessarily dumb. Of course, this is provided he actually did his own work. His father, on the other hand, was clearly smarter than George W. After all his father actually ran the CIA. One can’t be stupid and do this. I don’t particularly like either Bush, but George H.W. Bush is clearly smarter than the average man, and his son would have to be at least slightly above average to actually make it through Harvard with just passing grades. An Ivy league school is usually much harder than an ordinary school. Of course, this is not always true, but it is usually true. I am not suggesting Bush Jr. is a genius by any means, nor does he speak well, or have a very good vocabulary; however, I don’t think he could possibly be as dumb as people say he is and not get in trouble for what his many mistakes in office. His biggest failure being the Iraq war. With all fairness, Bush Sr. and Dick Cheney also had much involvement with the war in Iraq as well. Most of the evidence supporting claims for the reason to invade Iraq could not be proven either. The Iraq war was very controversial and had nothing to do with what happened on 09/11. Bush Jr. was actually quite tricky and manipulative. He fooled many voters into believing he is just a “regular guy.” Regular guys don’t go to Ivy League schools, become a governor, or come from rich families. Of course this has nothing to do with Democrat or Republican, I am just making a point.
