Folks have been writing in to inquire whether the various videos available on the Internet showing Kryptonite brand bicycle locks being opened with ordinary ball-point pens are authentic. The short answer is "yes" (the long answer being: I can't vouch for the authenticity of every single video that might be out there, but, judging from the frenzy of news reports today from a variety of reliable sources, the fact that certain Kryptonite locks can be opened with a such a pen has indeed been established).
