Making the email rounds again, this bogus alert purporting to originate from Microsoft and Norton Antivirus claims that a PowerPoint file titled "Life Is Beautiful.pps" contains a destructive computer virus and shouldn't be opened under any circumstances. Oddly enough, hundreds of thousands of people have received this warning over the past three years, but I have yet to hear a single report of anyone encountering the malicious file itself. Could that be because it doesn't exist? Hmmm...

We just got this email sent to us at the library I work at. It’s now been five years…maybe it’s time to stop the spread of useless spam.
I too have recieved this email about 15 times in the last 2 weeks. Looks like it is making its rounds again.
we’ve just had this one sent round at work by our manager! they should’ve checked here first
Perhaps this one should be renamed “The Christmas Hoax”. LOL It seems to raise its ugly head every year about this time. I just got it from a relative. How do we get people to actually check these things out before they send them on? Wouldn’t it be nice?
