Dramatic Images of April 26 Sandstorm in Iraq

The image at right is but one of a series of striking photographs of a massive sandstorm engulfing the Al Asad air base in western Iraq last Tuesday. A Marine Corps public affairs officer has confirmed that the 60-mile-per-hour flurry of wind and sand took place (indeed, he took pictures of it himself), but we still don't know the precise origin of the forwarded images.  More...
