Update on 'Save NPR and PBS' Campaign

Participants in the MoveOn.org online campaign protesting steep reductions in federal spending for public broadcasting will be gratified to learn that the House of Representatives voted earlier this week to restore a portion of the funds previously cut from the 2006 budget and rescinded the decision by an Appropriations subcommittee to eliminate such funds entirely within two years.  Full story from the Washington Post.
