I'm still getting panicky emails about a Web site which purportedly allows users to search government databases and fetch the driver's license of any U.S. citizen. Listen up, folks it's just a joke! When you enter your name and click the "Search" button, all you get is an image of a fake driver's license bearing the photo of a baboon and a caption that reads "Gotcha! You didn't really think you could view your driver's license online, did you?" Read more...

Thanks for the information. I just got that email and was about to place in my name when I decided to do a search to find out if the bureau REALLY existed. It is a great help and comforting to know that the info (if ever placed in) is not stored.
I am a widow and I live alone. Therefore, I was furious to search and find my pertinent information via a license search for all to see. This is outrageous! and there must be a stop to such evasion of privacy. The only agency who should have access is the police department or homeland security. No one else should have access to such information. Thank you, Bernidine Moss-Cabral
