Are the CEOs of Charitable Organizations Overpaid?

A popular email flier urges recipients to consider the whopping salaries paid to the chief executives of some prominent charities before deciding where to donate. Did you know the CEO of the American Red Cross, Marsha Evans, makes over $400,000 a year? It's true! It is not true, however, that the National Commander of the Salvation Army makes only $13,000 a year.
