A recent documentary on the National Geographic channel about the Book of Revelations discussed how ‘666′ is an ancient Hebrew numeralogical code that when translated means “Caesar Nero”, the Roman emperor whom was persecuting Christians at the time the Book of Revelations was written. He apparently was quite a beast towards the Christians of the time, but as for 6/6/06, I’m not worried.
There was a 6-6-06 back 100 years ago and nothing happened. Why should this 100 years be any different than the last 20?

It’s all in our heads. Just because there’s 3 6’s in a date means nothing. If you look at the number it’s really 662006. The number their looking at is abreviated. Nothing is going to happen…Unless you’re really a pessimist and you just create your own bad luck dayly.

As someone else has mentioned, 666 (or 616) was a code that stood for the name of one of the nastier, more meglomanically minded Ancient Roman emperors. Either that, or god loves this generation so much he has taken a prophesy written in a time when the thinking process was totally different, along with the way of calculating time, and made it relavant to today’s Christian calender. Like the year 2000 was meant to be the Christian Millenium that ushered in The End. Guess which I reckon is true!

As everyone knows, the 6th letter of the ancient Hebew alphabet was “W”, meaning that 666 = WWW, the World Wide Web is the “Beast.”
So, when running the Web on a 666MHz processor, you automatically start an “Armageddon” process that will trigger the end of the world — or a computer virus. One of those two.
