TRUE: Harlem resident Christopher Woods has filed a lawsuit against pharmaceutical manufacturer Novartis AG, claiming that its popular Boost Plus Nutritional Energy Drink caused him to have an erection that lasted several days and required corrective surgery, according to press reports. "It was unbearable and embarrassing," Woods said in a story published in the New York Post on Wednesday. The suit seeks unspecified monetary damages for the plaintiff's "pain, shock and mental anguish."
TO BE DETERMINED: Whether Woods' claims will, er, stand up to scrutiny. The Boost Plus product label lists a variety of standard nutritional supplements -- mainly vitamins, minerals, and amino acids -- plus protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Is there a secret ingredient they aren't telling us about?

Billions of dollars are spent every year of ED meds, so then men can conquer the “Wet Noodle Snydrome”. This guy Woods gets a woody that’s capable of putting a smile on half the female population of the United States, plus Elton John, George Michael, etc. And what does he do? He sues. OK, if he had died, they might have needed to have an open coffin at the funeral. Plus. the cost to the nation would have been enormous, since all flag poles would have to be doubled in height, so that flags could be flown at double height. But what a legacy to leave for his grandchildren. People have gotta learn to count their blessings. Chrysippus
Consider the sheer volume of the product consumed daily. If this was an ACTUAL problem, where are the other complaints? Like many claims, this one lacks actual evidence it was not caused by other factors. I would want to see a clinical experiment that proves this possible.
However, like the infamous Dow Chemical lawsuits over silicone gel implants (where NOT ONE study gave any substance to the complaints) the jury may well be swayed by “little guy v BIG Company.” Ignore the facts, go with your feelings.
And in a real way, we will ALL lose.
Lomg lasting boners are nothing new. Reprts of them predate the current stiffy pills. I’m not sure if C. woods is complaining or bragging.
