Some skeptical readers have forwarded me copies of a statement mass-emailed to supporters of Donald Wildmon's conservative American Family Association claiming that new legislation passed by the U.S. House of Representatives would make it a crime for churches and religious leaders to speak out against homosexuality. "If pastors and other Christians don't aggressively oppose a bill now in Congress," Wildmon writes, "in the near future they will be subject to huge fines and prison terms if they say anything negative about homosexuality."
In reality, the House bill discussed in the statement contains no provisions that would inhibit the free speech of anyone, including those who oppose homosexuality on religious grounds. I have no idea how you could come to the conclusion you have regarding the “Hate Speech” legislation. I have a second home in Canada. They enacted functionally the same legislation roughly three years ago. Their legislation was preceeded by the same media rheteric that no one would be arrested etc., etc. Ministers and Pastors in Canada have subsequently been arrested and fined under these absurd laws who’s sole purpose is to squelch opposition to gay behavior. We’re not talking about people organizing lynch mobs here, we’re talking about people reading and preaching the words directly from the Bible regarding God’s statements pertaining to homosexuality. These people were teaching “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin. I don’t know what you used as a source for you opinion, but I respectfully submit you need to check you sources or read the legislation.

What is this when we cannot freely express our opinions, we are not in favor of the “extreme minority homosexuals”,
but yet we have to justify there sexual attitudes or we risk
hard sanctions, I think we give this subject way to much importance in justifying their socail acceptance when we will never accept them, however they do exist and must be tolerated at a minimum level in society, I grew up with
a homosexual brother and know very well this reality!

I am a British expat and I am being bombared with noise pollution from a homosexual bar for over 10 months now. The sous-prefecture in Calais France after petitions and complaints and police reports have given these homosexuals rights to continue their noise pollution until 5am even to 6am every weekend and sometimes during the week. I live above this bar for over 3 years, this bar has only been open as a homosexual bar since june 2008 before we have ahd no problems. Since the lesbien mayor has been elected it seems that people family rights have gone out of the window in favour of homosexuality. We have had noise pollution reports all saying the same thing that this bar needs to be sound proof and must be done accordingly. They have not done it so I have contacted the Embassy, who have phoned the police on two occassions, the first at 1am the second at 3am when I could here them banging and singing at the top of their voices to a techno version of Abba songs.
I got so angry I threw water at them. They have taken pictures of me on my balcony with the water that I have thrown across dripping onto the floor below, and now are taking me to court. So I am going to be sent to prison for throwing water a criminal offence aparently.
Now I am on a hunger strike I am refusing to eat until this bar is forced to close and have sound proofing or their hours of opening are revoked ASAP. I have just had a miscarriage, I was 6 weeks pregnant.

It is unfair that I am being prosecuted for not being able to sleep because of noise pollution from a poofters bar called Bar Babylone.
