Keith Richards: 'I Did Too Snort My Father's Ashes!'

By , About.com GuideAugust 7, 2007

Follow me on:

Keith Richards, father snorter?Remember the uproar that ensued a few months back when Rolling Stones guitar player Keith Richards admitted in an interview that he had once snorted cocaine mixed with his father's cremains? Of course you do. Remember how he came out with a statement a day or two later saying he hadn't really done it and the whole thing was a misunderstanding? Well, now he's disavowing his denial and claiming that he actually did snort his father's ashes -- just not mixed with cocaine.

So, whom should we believe, Keith Richards or Keith Richards?

The smart money's on neither.

Poll: Do you believe Keith Richards snorted his father's ashes?
  1) Yes, I wouldn't put anything past him.
  2) No, not even Keith Richards would do that.
  3) Only Keith Richards knows ... or cares.

Like Ester say “how Cares” just like all of the junk aboout Paris, who care and it will make no differance in how the world is run. These people are nothing but we waste so much time and paper on them. Why People? Get a life.

I don’t care if Keith has or not. I have been a Rolling Stones
fan since 1964 and as many drugs and booze he has been
into it not surprise me. From what I understand he has stopped heroin use but still continues to drink and use
other drugs. I doubt he has smoked his Father’s ashes
as I would think that would make a person ill? I feel Keith
is the type of rocker who often says things to shock people,
like the Blood tranfusion stuff which is not true. So if he
says stuff like the smoke his Dad’s ashes it could be just
to see what others’ reaction willl be. Rock on Rolling Stones!!

Keith, lay down. You’re dead!

(9) Mike says:

No transfusion? Okay, but Keith did undergo weird treatment at a Swiss clinic in 1973. His biographer calls it “hemodialysis” and maybe it was a crackpot version of that. So Keith had his fluids scrubbed. It’s still weird.

Keith Richards actually died about twenty years ago. What you’re seeing on the Stones tours, and what fell out of the coconut tree in the South Pacific is actually Sid Vicious with a terrific make-up job, you see. The guitar bits? It’s all done in the studio with computers and old tapes. Come ON! You can’t seriously tell me that you didn’t KNOW this!

Have you ever seen the ashes after a cremation? They’re big chunks with bone shards in them. Even the great Keith Richards would have trouble getting that stuff through a straw.

Sick person to even make a statement like that true or not!
