A confidential law enforcement bulletin which somehow found its way onto the Internet is fueling fears that a noxious new intoxicant called "Jenkem" consisting of the fumes given off by fermenting human waste has become popular with thrill-seeking youngsters in America.Parents, take a deep breath of fresh air. I've searched extensively and found no credible evidence to support the claim that Jenkem use is popular in the United States. In fact, it appears that nearly all of the information in the police bulletin was based on some really bad Internet research:
- The images were taken from a series of message board postings later recanted as a hoax.
- The list of alleged slang terms for Jenkem including everyone's favorite, "Butthash" was lifted verbatim from a satirical website and has no factual basis that I can find.
- The claim that Jenkem is popular in American schools originally appeared on that same satirical Website.

You Americans must think we in Africa are complete, utter savage monkeys. FYI, at worst, people sniff glue. Not their own shit.
What has happened to the ability to think critically? Folks just believe anything that comes across the internet or their mailboxes, and pass this crap (no pun intended) on before verifying it! That is how stupidity grows…
Often wondered what soda pop was really made of, and people insult beer?
I,VE NEVER HEARD OF USING HUMAN WASTE,BUT A FREIND OF MINE SAID THAT TEENS WERE HUFFING FRESH COW MANURE BY USING A BASKETBALL CUT IN HALF WITH A SMALL HOLE TO HUFF THE METHANE(OR WHATEVER)FROM THE MANURE. HE SAID IT MUST WORK, BECAUSE THEY FOUND A COUPLE OF THEM PASSED OUT IN A PASTURE.
Actually this is real. I am an officer in Ohio and have come across this. It is not on everydoor step like your basic marihuana, meth, or cocaine but it is out there and is sometimes used by teens that are hardcore users and have no money. Mainly this type of abuse is found in Amish communities. Here it is sometimes called “coning” because teens will take a traffic cone and place it over the manure and wait until the sun heats it up. Then they remove whatever they used to cover the top hole of the cone and put their nose to the hole and cup it with their hands. The high lasts for about an hour or so. And yes it will cause damage to the brain cells but only after MUCH prolonged use.
