News sources in Europe reported today that an Austrian woman transporting her dead bunny to the countryside for burial had her handbag stolen at a train station in Baden. Unless they were looking to make rabbit stew, the thieves were presumably very disappointed by what they found inside. Sound familiar? It should.

The variant I’ve heard is that a woman, who uses an old plastic purse to carry the poop from her dog that she’s cleaned off the sidewalk, has her purse snatched by a mugger. She decides not to give chase, instead deriving her satisfaction from imagining the look on the guy’s face when he actually opens the purse.
