A new forwarded email uses falsified data to claim that there were more U.S. military fatalities during the Bill Clinton administration than there have been to date under George W. Bush. Ironically, the message contains a link to the very document that disproves it. Read more...

While observing the years in question (1993 – 2006) it is interesting to note that military deaths during war time are roughly twice that experienced during peace time. If you acctually read the document referenced, you will find that military deaths that were self inflicted averaged 190.25 per year under Clinton, and 160 per year in the 6 years following.
Yeah, that really is “interesting”–and if I were you (desparately trying to prove the “success” of the Bush regime), I wouldnt want to count Bush’s last year of “success” either–y’know, the 871 dead Americans in 2007–and I surely wouldn’t want to mention the thousands of Iraqi civilians blown to bits by our superior “shock and awe” tactics, nor those killed by our “privatized” army of Blackwater thugs, rapists, and murderers…
Impeachment hearings, anyone?
Well Richard, does it bother you the military died in Somolia, because we went in at the time the Lewinski affair was coming to light? As a military vet I know that you, your party and people with similar ideas could care less about the military. People like you have spit on my uniform, so the Democrats should stop pretending to care about the military. Finally, what about the 120,000 Kurds killed by WMDs from Saddam? Or those who were blown to bits on 9/11? The fact is you are shallow, dishonest and will likely never be capable of understanding any of this. Maybe you will figure it out if you stop drinking the Koolaid.
