Contrary to what you may read in a factually-challenged email circulating since 2003, yanking on a stroke victim's ear lobes and pricking their fingertips till they bleed isn't likely to improve their prognosis one bit. In fact, delaying transport to a medical facility so you can take time out to torture the patient might well produce disastrous results.
