The Marine Corps Public Affairs Office in Hawaii released a statement on June 11 announcing that the two Marines responsible for the viral video showing one of them tossing a live puppy off a cliff in Iraq have been disciplined.
"The actions seen in the Internet video are contrary to the high standards we expect of every Marine and will not be tolerated," the statement said.
Lance Corporal David Motari and Sergeant Crismarvin Banez Encarnacion both received "non-judicial punishment" for their actions. Apart from the stipulation that Motari is being "processed for separation from the Marine Corps for his role in the episode," no further details about the incident, the investigation, or the punishments were made available.

Amazing how all those blind pro-soldier folks are amazingly silent when it is proven the video was not only real, but that two marines were the perps. It is a slap in the face to all the good and righteous military folk who not only perform their function as soldiers, but also manage to go out of their way to do good deeds, for both humans AND animals. A vast majority of the military folks have good souls and know right from wrong – it is a sad sad thing when a minuscule few can harden hearts towards so many. A soldier or ANY person who is so damaged that they think destroying innocence or icons of precious life cannot safely be let back into society. Time and time again it has been shown one of the hallmarks and early warning signs for serial killers/serial violent criminals is a willingness to torture/kill helpless animals. Be afraid. And petition our government for better healthcare and support, both physical and mental, for our returning soldiers. They will need all the care, love and patience that we and our country can afford to give them to help them become whole and sane again.
Yeah, where are all the war-lovers now? Where’s Tony G or comedykid? They and others like them were sure shooting their mouths off back in March; how come nobody’s here now apologizing for the actions of their boys in uniform? Where’s the support for the troops now?
What I want to hear directly out of those marines is if they actually threw that poor puppy of the cliff, or was it just a sick joke and camera trickery? If they did, why are they not be prosecuted for cruelty to animals? Hear this now everyone….if the video is in fact real, and they did kill that puppy…this is a very dangerous person. Do not take it lightly, don’t pass it off as PTSD or something of the like. This is a very sick human being who has the potential to escalate into violence against people. Let’s not forget that every serial killer on record has a history of cruelty to animals as do most of the school yard shooters. Don’t believe me? Check. Law enforcement…PAY ATTENTION TO THIS GUY!!! He’s more than just a disgrace to the Marines!
