David, the story breaking this morning is that Obama was told, at the last minute, by the Pentagon to not visit the troops in Germany, after the Pentagon having been aware of the arranged visits for weeks:

Sadly John, these boring emails are very damaging. The right wing media hops on some of them as if they are true and then proceeds to spread the lies. Many people are not inclined to verify these emails as factual and assume everything written in them is true. Very damaging to a candidate and results in the country being lead by incompetents.
I agree Mike. Those boring emails can make a difference for those undecided and uneducated votes when they go into that booth to cast their ballot. It’s all about image and what sticks in voters minds when they have to make the decision. How many voters now still think Obama is a muslim based on those viral emails? My Mom thinks he is, based on emails she has received.

Thanks for website Bill. Both campaigns have a “truth squad”. Interestingly, it seems McCain hasn’t had any smears to refute. When Obama has 5 or 6 on his site, what’s that tell us about the honesty and integrity of the Right??????
Dems are just more open about listing the lies being told. McCain has the “collaborator” message to deal with, at least. That is far worse than the Swiftboat charges atainst Kerry. Perhaps they think everyone will forget if they don’t mention it. Does that show honesty and integrity? Or is everything being said about McCain actually true?
Barack didn’t want to visit the sick and injured troops because cameras and the press couldn’t go it. He couldn’t keep being a “pretty boy” - pretty doesn’t make a good president people!
Sara you’re being swayed by the right wing smear machine rather than the facts. Obama’s reason for not visit the troops shows character and care for the troops. To embroil them in campaign is wrong. He’s visited troops at Walter Reed and other hospitals without fanfare. The right is desparate and is stooping to the lowest of low in an attempt to smear Senator Obama. It’s truly shameful and does a great disservice to the United States.
