False Rumor: Dolly Parton Dead

Contrary to recurring rumors, 62-year-old country singer Dolly Parton has not died of congestive heart failure. According to her representatives she is alive and well, having performed in concert as recently as August 17 in Dollywood, Parton's namesake theme park in Tennessee.
WVLT-TV in Knoxville reports receiving many calls from concerned fans since Friday evening, some saying they had heard specifically that Parton passed away at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center.
Similar false reports have circulated off and on for the past two years.

I am one who can say I was held by Dolly Parton when I was a baby. Do you remember when you and Portor Wagner came on a fishing trip down in Eufaula, Alabama? I am 37 now. Anyway my dad ran the marina and had me there and you held me. Pretty cool!

I don’t know if you really get these messages or not,but in this case I hope you do read this one.I have a 5 year old granddaughter that wants to meet you.She learned one of your song in one weekend.She sounds like you when she sings it.She sang it at a pig roast and everyone stopped talking to listen to her.She then invited to sing it at a church revial.Let say this little has the voice of an angel.The name of the song is “Let Her Fly” I would love for you to meet her and let her sing the song for you.We made a cd of her for a you,but my friends brother left to go to Loretta Lynn’s.He was or is a body guard for her.He left before we could get it to him to give to Patsy to give to you.We live in New Castle De.Please make a little girls dream and Mom Mom’s dream come true to really meet you in person.She is also learning Amazing Grace,she has the first part down.
