I have been asked to weigh in on the authenticity of this photo of John McCain's running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The vice-presidential contender is shown wielding a rifle while posing in an American flag bikini.
Palin is, after all, a former beauty queen, avid hunter, and staunch advocate of gun ownership rights. So it all adds up, right? Wrong.

Well even if it was really her. I don’t know if people should really be getting their panties in a wad over a Crossman PowerMaster 66 pellet gun.
Seen someone else write it, but its funny how people talk about stuff they have no clue about. Like Palin with hunting rifle, palin with long gun, etc… Any person with knowledge of guns, can see that this is a BB gun and even if it were Palin, So what, How bout I go take a pic of a drunk and but Kennedy’s head on it. at least it would be true

No way that is Palin. After five kids she is certainly sagging and looks much like any other mid-forties doughty mother.
More important is how Palin lied in her speech at the convention. To wit, she supported the ‘bridge to nowhere’ before she was against it and Alaska (w/her as governor) never returned the earmark for the bridge. So much for her honesty and reformer credentials.

Even if the photo is a fake, that’s pretty much the reason why McCain picked her in the first place.
YES it’s a Pellet Gun! I noticed right away. However I never saw that mentioned on the web. When I read a CNN reporter calling it an AK-47 I could not take it any more and started to Google. It took like 4 tries to come up with anything in the “real” world..like this post. It just shows me how far removed from reality the media and the vast majority of the internet have become.
