Urban Legends: Sarah Palin Hot Pictures

IF INTERNET search traffic is any indication, Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin is the hottest thing going -- in more senses than one. Time.com blogger Bill Tancer reports that the search term "sarah palin" generated more hits in a mere two days than any other political figure in the past three years. Right this second, the keyword phrase "sarah palin hot pictures" is one of the top-ranking entries on Google's constantly updated list of top search trends.

The irony is that the "hot pictures" everyone is frantically searching for are mostly fakes. As I reported yesterday, a widely disseminated image of Palin wearing an American-flag bikini and holding a rifle was created by Photoshopping the Alaska Governor's head onto someone else's body.

The same is true of another photo (see thumbnail at left) purportedly showing Palin in a sexy miniskirt. That's her face, all right, but not her miniskirt.

The most shocking specimen, a grainy, black-and-white snapshot (thumbnail at right) that appears to show Palin completely nude, actually turned up in a Taiwanese newspaper this week.

But the image is doubly bogus, having already circulated for many years under the deceptive caption, "Julia Louis-Dreyfus Naked."

(8) Teebs says:

Be happy they chose this moron. Why would a voter who claims to value ‘the family’ vote for a person who places career over family?
Especially over a family with a “special needs” member, and a pregnant 17 year old daughter? Clearly, Palin’s family needs her at home NOW…and she has chosen to run for VP. What a hypocrite!

(9) Diane says:

I think it is a bit early to be judging Sarah Palin. Looks to me like she has a great family, and if everyone in this country had the same, we wouldn’t have all the druggies and crime-ridden streets we have. As for being a hypocrite, there isn’t enough room here for me to type in all the folks on the Hill who really are hypocrites. We could start with Ted Kennedy and the Chappaquidick incident. Remember that?? How about all the ear-marks (pork) we taxpayers paid for all these years. I know first-hand about a lot of these people as I worked for a very high profile CEO who gave them a lot of cash under the table, not to mention the escorts he provided when the came into town. I could write a book, but you know what happens with folks who tell. They may not live very long.

Funny, they didn’t ask Jack Kennedy that.

I haven’t heard anyone ask Joe Biden, either. And he’s a single parent.

No one worried whether Chelsea would make it out alive.

And then, there’s B. Hussein Obama’s daughters.

President Kennedy and President Clinton both had spouses who were with their children . . . not to mention that being “First Families” they actually worked and lived at the White House with their children.

Where did you hear that no one worried whether Chelsea would make it out alive? Could that just be YOUR own opinion?

Do some research. Joe Biden in NOT a single parent. He is married and his children are adults. He is a senior senator from Delaware who, from the beginning, has taken AmTrak home from Washington almost every night after work to be with his family. He has a beautiful family who he values greatly.

As far as Senator Obama’s children — their mom, Michelle Obama will be with them AND their their dad will be living with them at the White House.

The Media went into a frenzy about the Vetting process, why? Because THEY (The Media) think they are the ones who perform the Vetting process. This is laughable!

Look, she was a on a long list all the back in Feb 08. Just about every interview she gave from then til now she was asked about it.

Just like the other candidates, she filled out a 70 page questionnaire (Feb 08). Before McCain picked her he was told about her Daughter being pregnant, he decided it wasn’t an issue.

(14) eebaltimore says:

These disgusting photo-shopped photos alleging to be Sarah Palin that are being circulated far & wide, are crude & sexist. The perpetraters only purpose is to ridicule yet another woman who dares to stand for public office. It is fair and appropriate to discuss her background, but please, seek the truth, not just rumor & inuendo by some disgruntled fellow townie, before circulating garbage about someone. And please, people, for the sake of our country, stop the evil of sexist behavior & gender bias by letting those who email you this rot to please take your name off their distribution list for such filth. A debate about Gov. Palin’s views on issues, her qualifications and RELEVANT matters to the office she seeks are appropriate. But to pass around smut about someone just because they don’t share your views, or because they’re a woman is just plain evil.

“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.

Remember, all you Obama fans, if someone had not stood up (and marched) against racism and racial bias, he wouldn’t be where he is today. Discrimination, sexism, gender bias is no different.

(20) Jon says:

I can’t comprehend America’s outrage at a woman running for VP even though her 17 yr old daughter is pregnant. I mean seriously, teen preganancy is pretty common in America. Maybe it’s time we stop trying to put on a masquerade of how wholesome America is by electing “sterile” people into office. We aren’t fooling the world and we certainly aren’t fooling ourselves. I think a person in office that has actually EXPERIENCED the issues that the common American faces on a daily basis is more likely to understand those issues and more likely to care enough to find a way to fix them.

(29) strong American woman says:

Anyone who believes Palin was vetted is kidding themselves. McCain met with her one on one ONCE just days before announcing her as his choice as V.P. She told him the day before about her pregnant 17 yr.old daughter!Everyone knows he wanted Liberman or Ridge! He can’t even make that decision for himself! PATHETIC! Do you REALLY believe she is the best person to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency? If you answered yes, you are delusional!! BTW, she needs to quit hiding behind the “good old boy” network and stand up for herself!! If she can’t even do that then may God have mercy on all of us! TRY TO BE A STRONG WOMAN!! (33) misslene38 says:

I find the comment about the Republicans VP pick being a stroke of genius, idiotic , stupid and for Palin demoralizing for women. It goes to show you that people can be so caught up in the parties inwhich they are voters, but don’t care about the leadership and responsibilities it takes to run a country. We the people of the most powerful, richest and free country on this planet only cares about my party is better than your party so I don’t care whom will be responsible for my life. Wake up people whether these pctures are real or fiction we should be more concerned on who we think would be the best leader to protect, honor serve and represents us in all rights of survival throughout this nation. Regardless of my parties preference I am more concerned of the individual whom is representing the country in which I love and how they handle themselves. Yes I never thought I would see the day when there would be an African American and a woman running for the most important positions in this “free Land” of ours, but regardless of race, creed or gender we should be concerned at the obvious fact that the McCain team wanted to throw a wrench in the race, not because they thought Palin was the best person for the job, but to take the pressure off the fact that another 4 years of the political suicide we have been going through for the last 8 years would continue. Do not please vote because of your affliated party, but for who you believe would be best suited for the job. Is Obama 100% ready on day one probably not but for this job not one past or present Presidential candidate is. This is the hardest job in the world and you don’t just go in and sit behind the desk and say “okay what’s next” so stop with the he does/nt have the qualification at this level of authority this is a job that needs a calm and collective individual without many distractions, and trying to be a mother, full time wife and President would definitely cause an issue. I am not saying woman cannot perform the duties as presidentbut most woman myself included would hold off any job responsibility when it comes to the well being of our children. I am not saying that Senator Palin could not perform her duties, but would you want to risk it. And by the way Yes it is Hussein but he did not choose his own name so please why not use the Senators first name as you would with anyone else not that he should be ashamed of the name he was giving at :BIRTH, but nothing went past my eyes about the use of it.

(34) exdemocrat says:

Republicans will say anything to help her get elected, and nonthinking, can’t find the truth for themselves democrats will say anything to keep her out of office. This EX-Democrat says she doesn’t have the experience for office but, stands tall over the mountains in comparison to what B. Obama has to offer. As an 38 year democrat, I quit listening to what others tell me that they want me to hear and found out the truth for myself and was (very) surprised when I researched the varying views. Neither side is completely right, but the democrats are more wrong than the republicans. I look forward to the hatred that will come out in response by the democrats. Those of you who say you can think for yourselves need to spend time researching opposing views. I am not talking about a five minute, you’re all wrong response. It takes months and even years to understand. Those who stand for “Change” please understand that just because it is “Change” doesn’t mean it will be good change. I have seen no specifics on this “Change” It is something someone knows you want to hear and hopes you are so willing to hear it that you are going to make the mistake. It will be a mistake that will take years and maybe lifetimes to recover from. McCain may not be the best, but you know where he stands and there will be no surprises, good or bad. With Obama, it can only be a surprise because he has no stand(s )except on very insignificant ideas.

September 10, 2008 at 6:31 pm
(35) Kenneth Wills says:

I would agree sexism has no place in this campaign and the men who think Palin is sexy, they just have poor taste!

Of course many men would use sex to justify just about anything, including the right to vote for an incompetent tandem.

Palin is not half the woman Ms. Clinton is. McCain is not half the leader Obama is. Leadership is rarely about experience, is about how one arrives at making decisions. Palin lacks experience, so doesn’t Obama. McCain also lacks experience, jsut because he is old does not mean he has ever held anything position of responsibility. Joe Bidden has the most experience of all these individuals.

However, when it comes to how decisions are arrived at, Obama is the only one who exhibits that type of calmness that arrives at rational decisions. Palin has made it clear she is very much like a Pitbull. Consider how Pitbulls make decisions. They REACT. John McCain has extreme anger management issues, HE REACTS. Niether one of these people should be in position of the responsibility being a world leader involves. They both are the makings of a dictator. They are dangerous, coniving and foolish.

Obama on the other hand makes decisions based on thought that involve wieghing actions and consequences from a variety of information sources. He is far less likely to be a YES man than Palin of McCain or even Joe Bidden.

Obama even exhibited this when he selected his presidential VP. Hillary would have been the popular and easy choice. Why did he not? He respected her to much to relegate her to VP and because he understand that she would not bring out the best in him regarding leadership. She would not make the best of mentors, she is too headstrong and would most certainly make a fine President. VP was simply beneath her and he understood this. Joe Bidden fit the bill best out of all the candidates because on certain issues, he does not agree with Obama. Obama understands that having some people around him who see things differently will provide his with better decision making capabilities.

Obama by far exhibits leadership ability and that SHOULD BE the qualification to enter this office. The way he makes decision has a far better chance of reflecting the wishes of the American people. That is why he should be President hands down.

i am not understanding why the Dems get the blame for the last 8 yrs when Repub controls the exec, judicial, & legis…. We are in this mess (anyone think this is not true? please explain…) cuz of our leaders…and may i add… how we seem to elect these same leaders. Choosing a leader should not be based upon looks, personality, or what is being said about them in the media…research their past decisions & experiences ( i know- time consuming and boring – plus you have to READ and COMPREHEND!) Please, i beg of you all, make an informed decision, not “oh i always vote repub/dem” or “Hey this is someone i could have a beer with!” Ideally someone SMARTER than you – i know tough to swallow. These last eight yrs have been an embarrassment to our standing in the world and horrifying to the depletion of our military and disgusting to our fear-based electorate… IF ANYONE CAN TRULY SAY THEY ARE BETTER OFF NOW THAN 8 yrs ago- sure, vote the same party in…but i have to say i am not rich enough to vote repub anymore!

(37) Highlander says:

It is a rather humorous, the satirical photos of the VP candidate. I actually find them rather funny, though probably should not. Maybe it is the irony that is laughable. People are starting to see through the McCain VP selection scheme. As a woman I don’t care for Palin and I am a Republican and now I won’t be voting for McCain. I was planning too, but his selection of Palin changed my mind. For the first time ever I will be voting for a Democrat for President! Damn!

September 11, 2008 at 11:41 am
(38) Scott says:

The photos of Govenor Palin are funny. Those who are outraged by them didn’t get into an uproar when photos of Hillary were going around that depicted her as a nude transexual, or for that matter, of photos of President Bush in a compromising sexual position with Osama Bin Laden. Photoshop is a reality. These pictures aren’t being used to discredit anyone. They are humorous depictions meant to make people laugh. Sexism comes in many forms. Attacking a woman because of her gender is wrong. Not attacking her because she is a woman is just as wrong. Treat her with the respect she deserves as a human being. Take her to task on her decisions, statements, and beliefs. Run a tough, hard, (but hopefully honest) campaign. Then let the chips fall where they may. By the way, I think a McCain/Palin ticket is good for America. I also think that Sen. McCain has the guts to do what he thinks is right instead of pandering to the masses. Sarah Palin may be a bit inexperienced in world affairs but no more so than Sen. Obama.

(39) HillaryGirlNoMore says:

If Barry had picked Hillary for his VP, I would have held my breath and voted for Balack Hussein Osama.

I would have done it for Hillary’s sake, despite the fact that Balack Hussein Osama is the most unqualified Oprah-bot to ever seek public office. A mulatto maniquin who has virtually nothing in common with most Black Americans, yet who will get 99% of Black votes anyway.

He stole Hillary’s hard-earned political base by spouting the insincere lines that his speech-writers provide him.

I am now voting GOP for the first time in my life, just like 75% of my best girlfriends are doing. Sarah Palin is real; she is a breath of fresh air and an actual, real everyday American with YEARS of reformer credentials at the city and state levels. In her videotaped speeches given YEARS ago, she gives kudos to Hillary.

She is as honest as B.O. is dishonest. Yes, she supports some issues that I disagree with; but she’s a thousand times better than that crook Joe Biden. She’ll keep McCain more honest, and he’s already as good as B.O. or better on most issues that I care about.

Go, Sarah!

(40) John says:

Please, folks. Emphasizing “Hussein” for Obama, as if that means something, is stupid, racist idiocy. Kreebing about Sarah Palin putting her career ahead of family is the same thing, often from people who were upset in 1984 that the same questions were being posed to Ferraro by opponents. And yes, Clinton had a wife who was with Chelsea. And she had a career in the health care task force and all sorts of stuff. Lets face it – most first ladies have jobs. And they do pretty well as parents. And criticizing Sarah Palin for leaving kids behind when she clearly has a competent and loving husband is hypocritical. Grow up, both sides.

Everyone knows the problem, including the Democrats…….Obama, and 95% of the Democratic Party, are complete and total pussies. They would rather disparage this country than protect it. Would rather see it lose a war than offend our enemies. Would give Osama a hug and a kiss instead of the electric chair. Claim to stand up for the little guy, but do so by building dependence on government so individuals are not able to take care of themselves. Consider babies to be “punishment” and treat the unborn as nothing more than a parasite. And all this, simple, easy to see, in your face judgements that liberals make has so snowed much of our country into believing that they actually give a damn about anything but getting power.

The Democratic party of today is not the JFK party it once was……it is flooded with spineless, smooth talking liars and needs to be put down. After all…..just look at who loves them….HOLLYWOOD…..what a great judge of character and morality……The saddest part of all this is how so many Americans have been suckered into believing them.

How can anyone call modern-day Democrats ‘liberals’? only one had the guts to vote against the ‘patriot’ act the second time it was flatulated into Congress (after 911… the act was voted down once before that as a blatant violation of civil liberties). Modern Democrats still stand to the right of centrists, just a little to the left of most Republicans. Palin should stop blocking the release of her financial info, who’ll really care anyway who’d vote Republican? McCain’s worth 40 million or so, how much worse could she be than that? The ONLY thing I like about Obama is that he’s the poorest candidate to run for Pres on either side of the Rebublicrat tickets in quite some time, worth less than 4 million! Middle class by McCain’s recent comments! Be assured, I’m voting Libertarian rather than voting for either warmongering, civil-liberty reducing ‘option’ from the corporate sponsored (sponsoring BOTH PARTIES, many of them) tickets! Sure, my vote won’t get anyone elected, but at least I’m voting for someone who’d uphold the Constitution rather than focus on ‘National’ (i.e. Government Worker) Security to the exclusion of the Bill of Rights.

Jeff – If Americans make a critical decision about who will be President or Vice President based on thier skin color or thier name, this country is doomed to be a 3rd world country by the end of this generation. Please make your decision based on policies: economic, foreign, tax, defense and on qualifications like experience, accomplishments, education. I hope to God you were kidding, but I am afraid too many of the “b hussein” folk are just plain ignorant.

September 15, 2008 at 7:49 pm
(53) Kyle says:

Jeff – I’m not sure why you have such a problem with the middle name Hussien. Do you know who Hussien was? He was the son of Ali, the cousin of Mohammed. After Mohammed, Ali was supposed to become calif but never did. Rather he was succeeded by corrupt leaders and after fighting for years, Ali became calif only to be killed soon after. Hussien took up his fathers resistance by battle a corrupt Muslim government. Doesn’t seem too bad to me. Also, Barack is a Hebrew name.

Also, you and every Republican out there who doesn’t look at the issues, only his skin color, his middle name, and his supposed Muslim heritage, of which there is none, (and even if there was, so what?) and votes on that basis is why America is such an ethnocentric place.

I urge you, get an education. There is no use voicing an opinion that has no meaning whatsoever.

These last few comments are simultaneously stupid and terrifying…
It amazes me to think that SUZ thinks “he doesn’t know what the average person is going through to make ends meet” when PALIN has a tanning bed in her megamansion and MCCAIN has 4 houses. Sen. Obama grew up in a broken home and worked for charity instead of making it big on wall street. Palin had never left the US other than canada (and then lied about that saying that she traveled to Germany when she only had a layover there). Palin didn’t even know what the BUSH DOCTRINE WAS! and “old boys club” SUZ, really? Your party is the one who is trying to gain control over our wombs and believes we should all carry guns all the time. McCain/Palin wants us to stay stupid so we don’t notice the downfall of this nation.
Obama-Biden ’08

(62) Deb says:

Most people who are intending to debate the issue or likely to vote for Obama are doing so on the basis of strictly race. The man has no real credentials and I do not want to hear about Republican this or Democrat that. The point is he has no real credentials to represent the world super power overseas hence the reason to nominate Biden. Point finale. Outside the US, people are rather sick and tired of hearing the same tripe coming from the US about blacks, african americans etc. when one should stop to think that the largest minority community in the US is Hispanic. Yet they have not been nearly as vocal as the african americans. So out of nothing more than arrogance Obama decided to have Biden as a running mate when he could have easily chosen Hillary. Having Hillary would have shown that the democrats stand for more than superficial nonsense. So when McCain, being the ardent polititican and that my dear friends come from experience i.e. age in whatever country you deem yourself to come, usurped the Democrats by obtaining a female running mate the Democrats are feeling a bit of sour grapes. Well they had their chance and blew it over sheer arrogance, they cast their die and must live with it. Whether Palin, McCain are worthy of running, no longer is the issue; the issue is that finally the US has a female as a Vice President which I dare say is more of a statement than having a President based on race. Slavery has been abolished for over 200 years and I dare say it is time to move on. There are more pressing issues at hand for the US such as the number of poor and homeless in a country supposedly the world superpower, its regard overseas as hegemonist country a 180 degree turn from its stand in the early 60s, the economy. I for one do not see anyone from either party being close to achieving these aims. Nor can any one president solve these criteria in one term that would be preposterous and rather ludicrous for anyone to believe. Yet what stands out is that in time of conflict one should always err on the side of experience hence an argument for McCain and to make it appealing a female in the running. Would that in itself solve the abomentioned problems? The answer is an outstanding no, again to many promises to fulfill in one term. But at least the glass ceiling for women can ultimately be broken for women intending to be politicians in the US so for that reason that would be a compelling argument for McCain and Palin. Time for the US to catch up to the rest of the world, who have had women at the helm such as Thatcher, Meir, Gandhi, Merkel and even third world countries like the Philippines. So is the US really serious about having women equal to men or is that merely a façade? Finally, it matters not what anyone says for in the US 3% of the population controls the behaviour of the remaining 97% and it is those that will ultimately choose the next president, not the actors and not ordinary citizens. So all these debates are tantamount to nothing more than mental masturbation for the next president whomever he or she is has, believe it or not, already been chosen. To think otherwise would be to deceive yourselves.

We are in such a moral debate on whether abstinance alone is the way to instruct our children. When this is an example that its not. Obviously, someone is not taking care of the family issues at home straight on. If this is how a typical family should look like then my two sisters should have been 17 and pregnant as well as my female friends. Scary! Most likely this will move us backwards intead of forward thereby increasing teen pregancies, yada yada…Someone needs to stay closer to home and address the needs of their kids head on before things get worse for them.

(69) truth says:

I see that you have written your opinion above. So does that mean you really think your statements are true? I didn’t realize there was new legislation being passed regarding blacks or any large issues debated about blacks right now. In fact I am at complete lost as to why you brought ‘race’ up. FACTOID: The abolition of slavery was not in 1808 it was in 1863. That was 145 yrs ago. And African slavery occured for more than 240yrs. Let that soak in. But since you think everyone needs to get over it and that you don’t care that your great great grandparents were enslaved, IF black…then fine. You should be okay wearing prothesis and make up to look black and live like a black person. Right? Everything is equal and fair 145 yrs later, so this should be a walk in the park for you. Final note, it is sad people vote with their pocket book or for alterior motives not for the good of their country or the world they live in. You note that women/men are not equal only because you are a woman. Women have achieved much compared to thier counterpart groups. Why don’t you here the hispanic population? You are looking in the wrong place. Same with the asian populations. I believe if blacks were to become united like their counterparts, you would here something else.

(73) Pres. Hussein says:

Truth, is it a fact or a factoid? My Webster’s has the primary definition of “factoid” as “an invented fact believed to be true because of its appearance in print”. As a matter of fact, slavery was not actually abolished throughout the entire nation until the ratification of the 13th Amendment in 1865. The Emancipation Proclamation was only an executive order, and only outlawed slavery in the Confederacy. Those Northern states which still allowed slavery at the time (Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, Missouri) continued to have it, at least on the books, until the 13th Amendment went through.

Anyway, you right-wingers are hilarious. In one breath you say that we should all get over the issue of race because slavery was abolished so long ago, yet you go nuts over the prospect of a black president. And even though the Gingriches and Bennetts and Limbaughs among you pretend that you’re color-blind, in fact you’ve been race-baiting since the days of Nixon and his “tough-on-crime” stance.

ZOMGZ, the next President might be named Hussein!!!1 Be still, my soul!

conspiracy theory?………..wait and see.

On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing
health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur
after the VP debate on 10/2.

There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info.
Generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there
to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have
already seen a few short blurbs about this – the ‘health problem’ cited in
those articles was aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same

However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like
this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best
strategy is to get out in front of this Obama maneuver, spell it out in
detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.

So, let’s start mixing this one up and cut the Obamites off at the pass -
send this info out to as many people as you can – post about it on web sites
and blogs – etc.

As far as Palin, I think both she and Obama are poor chooses, but I feel more confident with McCain’s experience against Obama’s. I also ssee Palin and Biden as distractions to the real issues. Yes, I understand some folks are afraid Palin might become President, but come on – these folks live “forever” – well damn long at least. Reagan who became president at 70 and re-elected at 74, died at 93. George Bush is now 83 – jumping out of an airplane at 80. Gerald Ford died at 83 & Jimmy Carter is alive and well at age 84; like I said, they live a long time!

I don’t think we should bail out anybody I think we should let all of the banks collapse because that would be good for the economy. We should attack other countries because they are not America so they are wrong and should be invaded. Saddam Hussein and Barack Hussein Obama are cousins, that’s why they have the same name. George Bush was the greatest president who ever lived and he would kick your ass. All of you LIBERALS out there need to remember that our country was founded for FREEDOM, that’s why George Washington freed the slaves!
