Follow me on:

Forged receipt allegedly showing Michelle Obama's room service bill at the Waldorf-Astoria HotelIs it true that Michelle Obama racked up a $447.39 room service bill for steamed lobster and caviar at the Waldorf-Astoria earlier this month?

No. Despite Internet smears to the contrary, Michelle Obama was campaigning in Fort Wayne, Indiana the day she supposedly indulged herself in an expensive "snack" at the upper-crust Manhattan Hotel. The allegation was based on an erroneous report in the New York Post (since retracted), and the "receipt" circulating via email is a forgery. Read the details...

Kevin…thank you sooooo much! You are right it’s her money, but where are they getting it from??? If Obama thinks 250K is middle class, we definitely do not want him in office!

Only way I could find to get through–I tried a search for “ABC bans flag pins” (from 2001 according to Snopes). I got 10 pages of search items. The first 5 pages (I quit after that) all showed the same 5 items, none of which addressed the search request. ??

In the early eighties, “middle class” was generally defined as being between 20K and 200K. Given this century’s inflation, 250K isn’t a bad cutoff.

It’s interesting that they’re being criticized for working to raise money, eschewing the welfare stream McCain chose to accept.

NO, IT ISN’T HER MONEY. IT’S THE TAXPAYER’S MONEY. They do spend lavishly and I for one, can’t wait until we vote their butts out of office. THEY ARE SOCIALISTS WHO THINK THEY KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND I. I’D LIKE TO DEPORT THE WHOLE LOT OF THEM!
