An email circulating in South Africa warns patrons of the Wimpy burger chain not to use tomato sauce or ketchup unless it's offered in sealed packets. The reason? Some unknown person was allegedly seen adulterating the products with HIV-tainted blood.
Wimpy's management denies this, pointing out that all of the condiments used in its restaurants are factory sealed. Moreover, HIV/AIDS is not a food-borne disease.
The warning was debunked four years ago when it first began circulating in the U.S.
