Why Friday the 13th Is Unlucky
Friday February 13, 2009

The sixth day of the week and the number 13 have foreboding reputations said to date from ancient times, and their inevitable conjunction from one to three times a year (there happen to be three such occurrences in 2009, two of them right in a row!) portends more misfortune than some credulous minds can bear. Friday the 13th has alsways turnred out to be lucky for me. I’m surprised with something good. I think it all has to do with how we see and/or think about things. Think something bad will happen and that’s what you’ll get. Think something good will happen and you’ll at least have a happy day.
my birthday is september the 13th and some of the time like all other birthdays on the 13th of a month fall on a frday every seven years or more as long as leap year falls their way… my 16th and my 21st birthday fell or will fall on friday the 13th so i have fun with it and its always lucky for me no matter it is my birthday or not
I got married on Friday, Octber 13, 2000 and was divorced by the next Friday 13th…. LOL Guess it was not meant to be.
I mustered up the courage to invite a man I admired at work to a friday 13th full moon meditation class. He moved in with me 2 weeks later, and then 2 years later on a friday 13th with a full moon, we got married.
We’ve been together …blissfully happy…since 1988 and every friday 13th, he takes a vacation day and we spend the day together.
For us, it has always been a very lucky day!

Then again–it’s Tuesday the 13th that is unlucky in some of Latin America. Go figure.
