When Shamrocks Were Banned in Boston

Excerpt from an article in London's Sunday Mirror on February 18, 2001:
LOONY Americans are set to ban the Shamrock in Boston following complaints from minority groups. They have bizarrely compared Ireland's three-leafed emblem to the Nazi swastika. Now the shamrock will become a thing of the past as the emblems are torn down from playgrounds, doors and windows in housing developments all over the city.
Loony indeed... if true.

Those that fold to this and remove shamrocks are sellouts and cowards!Wish I lived there,I’d have them all over my yard !!

carolyn – I agree! We must stop pandering to every special interest group around! If something offends you – DON’T LOOK!! People are too thin-skinned nowadays, and need to lighten up. Enjoy life instead of trying to make it miserable for everyone else.
