A false Amber Alert circulating since February reappeared on Twitter Tuesday and is still replicating, convincing thousands of well-meaning Tweeters that a 3-year-old girl has been kidnapped by a man driving a silver truck, license plate number 72B381. The message, which to date has turned up in virtually every state in the union, was and is a hoax. Please notify all senders.

question is, why dont i ever see a legitimate amber alert online?
I always check the AMBER alert sites or legitimate news (hmmm…bit of an oxymoron, but, whatever LOL) sites before passing on AMBER alert info.
people who keep forwarding these fake amber alerts just make it worse when a real one comes up because we think they are all fake now. the only thing worse is the ones that say your phone company is going to donate money for each text you forward for the babies that are very ill. stop it…just stop it. you should be ashamed of yourselves!
