It figures that the same President who would pull the plug on Granny to save a dime on health care would ban Christmas from the White House, right? Well, according to one of the more popular email rumors circulating just now, the Grinch otherwise known as Barack Obama is preparing to do just that.
The forwarded message — anonymous, of course — claims that artists who have contributed ornaments for White House Christmas trees past were sent a letter this year stating that henceforth they will be known only as "holiday trees," not "Christmas trees," and no religious-themed ornaments will be allowed.
Now, somebody wouldn't just make a thing like that up, would they? Naaaaah...

I hope that’s a joke because National Healthcare is the probably what I, as a British citizen, am most proud of about this country. If I was living in America I can tell you now I would be on the streets with my 11month old son because I would not be able to afford healthcare. As it is, I have a 32 hour a week job, I pay my taxes and I get free medical and dental healthcare! This means I can afford to pay my rent, pay my electric, pay my council tax, and pay to keep my son’s stomch full and keep him clothed and happy! I am SHOCKED to the core that the majority of America would be so selfish as to condemn people to poverty and even death cos they don’t wanna pay a little extra in their taxes. SHAME ON YOU ALL! And btw, there is still a rumor circulating about a death panel, which is all BULLS***! There is NO SUCH THING!
I hope that this is not true. I’m an american and christimas is a natural part of the american holidays. I am a mother of 2 who is going back to school and my husband works 60 hours a week to pay our bills and my kids r on free health care. christmas is america. let’s hope that our president no matter what his religion is would not ban christmas at the white house.It would be unamerican.
Republicans say “the Dems will pull the plug on Granny” and the Democrats say “the Reps will make senior citizens eat cat food during retirement”. Same bunch on mud slinging losers. Kick them all out! They’re more interested in creating a soap opera than actually fixing anything for the betterment of the country.

Yah well the man ticked his entire security staff by allowing children to trick or treat at the white house so Im guessing hes not doing away with Christmas? And as far as taking the religion part out of it?—thats his right, a lot of highly religious ppl do not believe christ was seriously born on Christmas because of obvious reasons stated in the bible! People are so stupid some times! Besides give the man a break its not like it affecting you leave the poor man alone he has enough to worrying about as it is let alone stupid ppl like that spreading unnecessary rumors!!!
We get this fake story every year in the UK about “Christmas has been banned”, mostly from the right-wing newspapers who want to stir up hatred against other cultures.
I’m sorry, but people just are not reading what they are intended to read. If you are going to UN-hype the public, you really must publish the information you WANT them to believe on the front page, and not expect them to turn the page, as they generally won’t, especially after reading such an inflaming headline as above. It even took me a few seconds to read it again to understand that you were joking. Not a nice joke, considering the current climate in our country and the average displayed IQ of the current population.

Not true. A 3-minute google search is all you need to verify that the White House is indeed celebrating CHRISTMAS with CHRISTMAS trees and CHRISTMAS tree ornaments. For the sake of our sanity and our nation, please start researching before you swallow some ridiculous notion whole.

Christmas is infact a pagan holiday, look it up, it has nothing to do with Jesus,But pagan worship.. and think about it…If Jesus were on earth today, and you could talk with him, do you honestly beleive that he would condone, the greed, comercailism, the sadness that the celebration brings to poor families, or those without families..making children beleive that they must have been bad because they didnt receieve the gifts that their friends at school recieved from santa…ect..I could go on an on…Jesus was about Love for our nieghbor at all times, year round not on a day that is a pagan holiday…COMERCIALISM IS BRAINWASHING PEOPLE!
Thank you so much for clearing this up. I’d heard so many different rumors. The Obamas decorated so beautifully for Christmas, just as so many other administrations have. Don’t take my word for it, look at this new book just published by White House insider Jennifer Pickens, called Christmas at the White House (www.christmasatthewhitehouse.com). You can see 50 years of gorgeous decorations and photos of first families, along with wonderful stories, starting with the Kennedys. I have the book and it’s wonderful!
I agree with Maria professing christians need to wake up and see if pagan worship is pleasing to god. Simple Research would teach you. Also read jude in the bible its like only two pages.. And see what God thought about pagan worship then. And what he thinks of paganism and those who practice it in our time. Besides Paganism is just a soft sell of Satanism.
