If you thought Obama's fake Kenyan birth certificate was a hoot, you will also appreciate the latest example of manufactured evidence from the wacky folks who want to convince us that the President was born somewhere other than in America. It's a road sign allegedly photographed outside of Nairobi, Kenya. It reads: "Welcome to Kenya, Birthplace of Barack Obama." (More...)
In related news, yesterday was Photoshop's 20th birthday.

Why would the president have his birth certificate sealed? Show me proof. That is all I ask, nothing more. No conspiracy theories just questions that could probably use some truthful answers.
devildogg,
Why don’t YOU show us proof that the president had his birth certificate “sealed”?
We are all afflicted with cognitive dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political association, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.
That is the problem with people like devildogg.
Frankly, I don’t like BO or his policies. I hope he gets voted out in 2012. But, whether or not he was born in the U.S. or not, since his mother was a U.S. citizen, so is he. If not, then McCain should have been disqualified too, as he was not born in the U.S. My own child was born while my wife and I were overseas. Her citizenship is not questioned. Leave the issue alone. There are plenty of more valid reasons to oppose BO.
If only the person who made this fake had made it look more authentic. 1) Signs in Kenya are in Swahili and English (not Arabic), 2) Kenyan signs do not use the “Welcome to Pismo Beach” stylized font, 3) The Kenyan border signs are hand drawn on white painted wooden boards.
Obviously someone with a sense of humor, but did very little in research to at least make the image believable.
Wow, people still have their shorts tied in a knot over whether Obama was born in America? Which really is a thinly veiled way of hiding racial prejudice. Its interesting that this issue was never brought up with any of the other Presidents. Well people, better suck it up and get used to it, the US does not belong to white people, it belongs to Americans – All Americans.
Though I could imagine the hate-fest that would have happened had Hilary got the nomination. If there’s anything that’s potentially stronger than racial prejudice in the US, its misogyny.
@Krimson
Why does it always come down to race? I guess the evil white man is trying to keep his foot on a black mans neck, right?
Driven by nothing but fear. Literal fear of dark skin – like the way people fear of sharks.
I have seen a copy of that certificate. It is forged and fake.
First off, Obama was born in 1961. That’s true. But the certificate says ‘Republic of Kenya.’
Kenya was a British colony until Dec. 12, 1963. It became a republic in 1964. The Queen was no longer in charge after that Dec 12 day. So if Obama was born there, it should have said ‘Colony and Protectorate of Kenya.’
Secondly, it says ‘Coast General Hospital.’
That’s another joke. Kenya’s Coast province was not created until after Kenya became a country. Like I said, that was in 1963.
Thirdly, the alleged ‘certificate’ says ‘Mombasa.’ Mombasa is an old city, dating back to the year 900. In 1961, it was a part of Zanzibar. At the time, a separate country.
When Zanzibar gained independence from Britain, Mombasa became a Kenyan city. That was in December 1963.
I am a Kenyan. I know my history.
On top of that, I see Arabic script on that sign. Kenya DOES NOT look like that. It’s like me saying the photo above is in Florida, right outside the Everglades. It’s that dumb.
Kenya has very few Arabs. Way fewer than those in America. It’s also 80% Christian. 10% traditional religions, and 10% moslem. So there is little or no Islamic influence, or any other large world religion for that matter.
That sign is photoshopped from some place in the Arab world. Kenya is lush and green except in the north. Anywhere that says ‘welcome to Kenya’ would be a place with an airport, right? All of Kenya’s international habitatst are located in fertile lands – the kind you see on National Geographic…hahaha…and we don’t speak Arabic.
