Sometimes the scuttlebutt is true. According to a company press release, Starbucks stores worldwide will give a complimentary brewed coffee to customers who show up with reusable tumblers on Thursday, April 15. "This effort is just one of the ways Starbucks is collaborating with customers to reduce environmental impacts," the release explains. "The company has offered customers a discount for tumbler use since 1985."

In addition, many U.S. businesses are offering special deals on April 15 to coincide with tax day. A partial list compiled by AP can be found here.

Yup, it’s true…FREE Starbucks today! That was enough to get me out of bed early enough to stop on my way to work!

A true story. I used a reusuable cup with Tim Hortons written on it. They filled it up and it was FREE.

I wish you had sent this out on Apr. 14th so that I knew where to stop on my way to work today!

A nice gesture, but I have tried Starbucks coffee and to me I would just as well drink drainwater. It would take more than being free coffee to get me to try that slop again.
