A forwarded email making the right-wing rounds not only repeats the false allegation that Justice Elena Kagan represented President Obama in court cases challenging his eligibility before she was nominated to the Supreme Court, but claims the fact-checkers at Snopes.com lied about it when they said it was false. Wrong on both counts.

This type of email seems to almost always eminate from the right. Frankly I can’t think of any from the left, though I am sure they must exist. Though even if they do, I believe that there is nowhere near the number generated by the right.
The question I have is: Why ? Why do so many people on the right feel it is perfectly OK to make up stories to put people in a bad light? This is, of course, extended to FOX News where Sean Hannity was caught editing a tape of President Obama’s speech to make it sound like he said something he didn’t. Do these people have no honor?
A very insightful response. There is, in fact, a scarcity of honor among people who are willing to lie, distort, and fabricate to ruin the reputation of others.
Interesting that the big issue that is not mentioned at all, Kagan is the Attorneys for Respondents in all these cased before the Supreme Court concerning President Obama. No wonder she was picked to set on the high Court.
It is interesting that Obama is placing “his” friends in high
positions to help cover not, only his past but his present
Goal to break down America, to a Socialist-Muslim nation. If,
Obama is a truthful, man, WHY does he have a problem in
presenting his past records of life, schools, etc.? The truth,
of past Presidents live styles have not been hidden in the
Media or other files as in Obama’s closed files. Why can’t the
Media get a TRUE look at Obama’s Birth Certificate and other
documents? WHY does Obama refuse, to Salute the very
American Flag that has made our Country, strong? Why was
Obama elected, after admitting, he and Michell were part of
Flag burning ceremonies before he decided to tone down
his hatred, to run for president, per a “Meet The Press”
interview? Where did Obama get all that money for the
Backing, to run for president, could it be all the Muslims
that he bows to and apologizes to, for the behavior of
AMERICANS, in the past? Why did Obama cancel the
National Day of Prayer 2009 by saying he did not want to
offend, people? His picture was taken as he was with his
Muslim brothers, in removing his shoes to hit the prayer mat
on Capital Hill, later on with over 25,000 in attendance. WHY, does Obama claim to be a Christian but, he does not
attend Sunday services at any Church like our past
presidents? Has anybody noticed that Obama has the same
attitude as Hitler in that both, seem to be ABOVE the very
common folks that believed their lies, and placed them in a
position to be the “RULER” over many lives? Wake UP!
America! Christians are about to be slaughtered by the
Muslim growth, just as the Germans killed millions of Jews!
Please don’t take my word as positive proof, pay a lot
of attention to what the news media allows and listen to
your own sense of well being in the ability to distinguish the
truth, from the tele-prompted, lies.
Barry, the reason the media seems to hide all information which is negative to Obama is because they are in bed with him. They are so far out in left field that they can’t see the ball. Obama is in way over his head and they refuse to acknowledge that fact. The sooner he’s out of office, the better off this country will be. Hope we can recover from the damage this administration has done.

We, ALL, have to present our concerns on that date and especially, in 2012! The CHANGE that was promised, has nothing to do with present conditions where Medical assistance for the elderly, is now being increased, due to Obama-Care!
David Emery must be a young, impressionable, adult that only
hears what is said and not seeing the the truth. There are all
kinds of pictures out in the News and on the Internet of our
president, refusing to salute the American flag. He either, holds a “crouch salute” or he holds his left hand to the right side of his chest, which is backward! What kind of PROPER, president would show such disrespect? Wake Up! America, all
our lives are on the line with a man that thinks we have only 47 States for him to ruin and hand over to the Muslims. Anyone can research the Internet for Obama’s Birth Certificate and the Court documents of Complaints, of the fact. He did manage to give Elana Kagan a good job for helping him out on the 4 cases that I previewed! The bottom line is that the American people, have been, HAD!

The lady that stood UP to Obama in last weeks town meeting is a real American hero when she told Obama, face to face that she was tired of up-holding him because he wasn’t doing ANYTHING, for the American public!

It’s not enough to look at the Supreme Court docket links. They only contain the titles of the cases and don’t explain what they’re about. Once you delve deeper, it’s clear that none of the cases pertain to Obama’s citizenship or Constitutional eligibility. Further, Kagan was listed as the attorney of record not because she represented Obama personally, but because as Solicitor General it was her job to represent the Executive Branch.

@Joe, you miss the point. The cases did not concern Obama as a plaintiff or defendant and there was no quid pro quo. Nobody claims there are no documents in the Illinois Supreme Court with both their names on them. That’s inevitable.
Since all of these legal documents contain the phone #’s of the petitioners attorney as well as Kagan’s, why not just call them and find out what exactly is the particular litigation about. Mar 24 2010 Brief of respondents Federal Election Commission, et al. filed. It appears that the action involved the Federal Election Commission.. What was the petition for?
Also if there were other Attorney’s for the Respondent, they too must be listed. Kagan was involved because it mentions and the Solicitor General’s suggestion of mootness. This was either a written response or verbal, either of which requires Kagen’s personal involvement.

the youtube link… well as we have seen by ‘Fahreheit 911′a lot can be proven and/or fabricated. In fact, a lot of harebrained stuff can be proven thanks to the interwebz – and a lot of footage can be compiled thanks to modern technologies.
I am indecided whether to believe this youtube clip out of said reasons. On the other hand, he says an awful lot of things over and over in slightly different words.
But the statement ‘is not and never will be at war with Islam’ may just be a tad pushing it…
