The NAACP did not surprise me. I feel it is a racist and
anti-American organization. To say they did not want their
attendees to be offended tells it all in my opinion. I must
ask why did some leader not call their hand when they built a structure around the George Washington statue. I feel a white man’s hand would have been called. In today’s society, you can not say anything negative about Blacks. If you do, you are automatically branded as a racist. What a shame.

You are an idiot, Abe. As is the short sighted event planning team who thought that covering up a statue of George Washington was a good idea. Graphic or no, the image of GW behind the speakers at the event would have made for a more powerful message. This isn’t reverse racism, this is professional incompetence.

Do you all remember the man who lead President Barak Obama? He is the same guy who said “it is not God bless America, it should be gottdamnedUmerica”. Yes, and his wife was only proud of the U.S. when her hubby was elected.

You have to be proud of our leaders. Hopefully, a one term president because I know many still don’t think O.J. killed his wife, and these are the same people that think Obama is the messiah.

The reality is that NAACP can say anything and most will buy what they have to say. However, a picture say’s it all.

Okay, let’s say I buy that nonsense about a display for a graphic that never materialized. Isn’t it something how there’s a statue of the first president right where the backdrop graphic should go?

The picture says it all, and the excuses say more. Racism is alive and well, and ‘white guilt’ is the reason it’s gotten away with.

The last sentence tells me that the NAACP explanation about a rally graphic that was going to be placed on the 3 sided box is nonsense. The NAACP claimed that the rally graphic wasn’t finished so the box around the statue stayed in place during the MLK day events. The State indicates the statue has been similarly covered during MLK Day for at least 4 years. What were the excuses during the past years for covering the statue of the Father of the Country?
