Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary

Make no mistake, when a gaggle of adolescents stand in front of a mirror chanting "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary," or "I believe in Mary Worth, I believe in Mary Worth," they're uttering what they believe to be — or hope to be, or fear to be — a magic spell to conjure up a ghost. The notion that ritual incantations can be used to achieve supernatural ends derives not only from folklore and fairly tales, wherein remnants of so many age-old myths and superstitions are retained, but also from the childhood mindset itself, which is subject to a variety of forms of magical thinking.  Read more...

These adolescents might THINK they can summon up a ghost/demom BUT, anyone who has studied God’s Word, the Holy Bible, knows, once you die, the ‘breath of life’ that God breathed into Adam at creation, RETURNS TO GOD, WHO GAVE IT! The IDEA of being able to call up ghosts is just the makings of a good horror/thriller movie–a waste of time!

The actual original “incantation” comes from the Bell witch tales in middle TN. I am a storyteller and each year I am asked to tell the tale for the 8th grade class. The movie “An American Haunting” is not even close to accurate of the tale. Regardless, the most asked question is what is the proper incantation to see the Bell witch. I never share the phrase, but do explane that there are many dark, strange things in the world that we do not understand. Also, if these happen to be demonic, they are best left alone and we should not dabble in works of socery etc… as the Lord says we should not. I tell the story because we should understand that there are strange, scary things out there; but, they are best left to God and we should not plunder about in the occult as one may bite off more than one can chew. I truly believe this stuff has the potential to be dangerous.

We tried a variant of one of these “incantations” at a slumber party once. We were in a bathroom and one of the girls did the “Bloody Mary”…I don’t remember how many times she said it, but after a few repetitions in the mirror on the closet door, one of the girls swore she saw something (the slight hint of a face, I think–it was about 20 years ago), which sent everyone into hysterics. Afterwards, only of the girls insisted they saw it too. The rest of us admitted we didn’t see anything(honestly, we didn’t).
To this day I sincerely believe it its the power of suggestion that leads people into believing they see/hear some of this stuff.

All christians who comment your oppinion unfortunatley does not count because your religion states that witchcraft of all forms is Abhorent and a great SIN!!!, so even beleiving that the Ghost of Mary Sanderson can actually be summoned which she can , to christians is a sin and because you beleive that god controls all things, well i hate to tell you this but that isn’t true god actually has no direct contact with humans just influence and so ghosts are just the remnants of restless spirits unable to take rest even if they can pass through the veil, whereas Mary sanderson was a witch and is in an Ethereal form able to travel through all reflective surfaces , Mirrors,Windows , even Water.

However the Genuine incantation is to speak the name given to her , “Blood mary”x2 and to place your common hand upon the mirror and write her name backwards across the top of the mirror the room must be completely DARK, NO LIGHT at all and cover the windows and the cracks under the door , and when your hand is placed in the centre of the mirror your hand will either feel icy cold and wet or extremely HOT, and then when you hand moves away you will feel as if you are pulling something out of the mirror which is the magic is performed correctly you are!!. but i urge Caution some have died when she has been summoned correctly, and at least some have been severely injured, Caution to the user and remember the Laws of Universal Magic DON”T MESS WITH IT!!!!!!
