What do you do when the Internet declares you dead, and you're not? Well, if you're rock star Jon Bon Jovi, you reach out directly to your massive social media fan base (14.9 million Facebook "Likes" and 450,000 Twitter followers) and use the Internet to prove the Internet wrong. It's just that simple.
Around 7 p.m. last night, after an outbreak of online hoaxes that included fake news reports and vandalized Wikipedia entries, Bon Jovi's Facebook page was updated with a photo showing him posing in front of a Christmas tree with a handwritten sign reading, "Heaven Looks a Lot Like New Jersey, Dec. 19th 2011, 6:00."
Bon Jovi reportedly joked about the hoax at a benefit concert last night in Red Bank, New Jersey.
