Regular visitors to this site will be familiar with the Carmen Winstead chain letter, a viral ghost story about a teenage girl who was allegedly shoved into a sewer drain and killed by schoolmates. "If you don't repost this saying "They hurt her," the story concludes, "then Carmen will get you, either from a sewer, the toilet, the shower, or when you go to sleep. You'll wake up in the sewer, in the dark, then Carmen will kill you!"

Unsurprisingly, on any given day you'll find the story reposted several hundreds times or more on Facebook by gullible kids, and thus it has been for several years. There's a new twist, however, namely that folks are now spreading the fear in French and Spanish translation. "Carmen va vous trouver!"

Have you seen or heard the story told in languages other than English, French, or Spanish? If so, please share the texts in comments below!
