The answer, folks, is no. Adam Sandler did not die in a snowboard accident. It's a hoax. The same hoax that went around in Dec. 2010. The same hoax about which I wrote:
An online report claiming that actor/comedian Adam Sandler died today in a snowboard accident is a hoax — the same hoax, in fact, that fooled umpteen-hundred Twitter users into thinking Charlie Sheen died in a snowboard accident just a few days before.
The source of the misinformation, "Global Associated News," is a prank website on which users can create bogus stories by inserting celebrity names into pre-existing templates.
While I have your attention, allow me to introduce you to a handy-dandy alternative to online gossip called "news." Use it!
(P.S. Morgan Freeman, Alfonso Ribeiro, and Tony Danza aren't dead either.)

I know these things happen but he is such a great guy and comedian that I was so sad to hear that he died; however, now that I know the truth I am relieved. Why do people do this crap? In my opinion these “death rumors” ought to be grounds for lawsuits.
I don’t know if defamation of character is the correct term, but this kind of fearmongering about a public figure must be a legal grey area of sorts. Libel? Slander? Not sure what the correct application would be (not an attorney myself), but whoever the PR/legal teams of these actors/actresses are, they ought to file against these nutjobs in court.
Glad to see Adam Sandler is doing well, however, even if his movies are (pardon the pun) sliding downhill. This terrible “headline” was actually trending on search engines not too long ago. He just had a birthday on Sept. 9, and is currently 46 years and 2 days old.
