I would love to see the heart attack stats on the morning of ‘Spring Ahead’, or for that matter a single corporate electric bill showing a positive result from this business…you come to work, you turn on the lights. Maybe not in 1914…maybe. What it seems to me, from my insane and paranoid viewpoint, is that this clock-changing exercise serves a dual purpose: one, to psychologically ensure that subject peoples understand the true power of their rulers (over Time itself! eat your hat, Canute!) – and to politically/socially disorient people. I once heard the excuse that it would increase golf course profits, and once that it would make children safer, I forget how. Whatever way you slice it, it’s f*&*%ng stupid. And a good Standard Earth Day to everyone!
