It doesn't have a backbone and it's too big to be a whale skin. 'We'd never before seen such a strange specimen,' a befuddled scientist confided to Reuters. What is it? Well, aside from being a 40-foot-wide mass of gelatinous stuff washed up on a Chilean shore, apparently the remains of a sea creature, nobody knows. Update.
