The Greenback Prophecies (cont.)

05/29/02 - Updating us on that amazingly viral origami trick revealing images that supposedly depict the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks on a folded U.S. $20 bill, a reader writes:

"Did you know that you can fold the new 5, 10, 50, and 100 dollar bills as well and they show the WTC attack in sequence? Add in the 20 and you have the complete sequence."

Sure enough, with careful creasing and a healthy dollop of fancy, you too can recreate the devastation of the twin towers in your very own wallet (or, pending payday, view illustrations of the parlor trick on the Web).

Our informant continues: "Isn't it interesting that you fold it into the basic shape of an airplane???"

I suppose it is, but in all honesty it looks more like the outline of an ocean liner to me.
