It's final semester at Alpine University, where film students Amy (Jenny Morrison), Travis (Matthew Davis) and Graham (Joseph Lawrence) are working on their thesis films in competition for the prestigious Hitchcock Award.  Amy decides to make the subject of her film – you guessed it – "those contemporary tall tales known as urban legends."  When her fellow students start turning up dead just like the characters in the movie she's making, Amy embarks on a harrowing mission to discover who's bringing bringing urban legends to life — and death — at Alpine U.
