09/24/99 - AuctionWatch.com reports that someone tried to sell a whopping 500 lbs. of marijuana last Tuesday night on eBay. Bidding got as high as $10,000,000 before the illegal offer was deleted.

Yawn...

This is merely the latest in a spate of adolescent copycat pranks inspired by publicity following the attempted sale of a human kidney on eBay around the first of September. There is now at least one kidney auction per day on the popular online trading site.

eBay's last major "drug bust" was in June, when it removed a page offering 200 lbs. of cocaine.

I hate to be critical, but it appears the kiddies have run out of original ideas. Time to move on? I think so.
