This lady received in the mail, an envelope bearing an American flag,
addressed to her specifically, that had a first class stamp on it (was not
bulk rate junk mail). She opened the envelope to find a blank piece of paper
inside.... she turned it over to see if there was anything on the other side,
held it up to show her son and in a matter of minutes broke out in a rash
that quickly spread all over her body. She then passed out.... and is
currently in the hospital in Miami in a coma. The postmark was illegible.
There was no return address.
The hospital apparently has gotten the police involved and encourgaed her
husband to alert everyone he knows to be on the look out for a similar piece
of mail and to not open it, but to turn it over to local authorities.
I can't imagine for the life of me, with all my years in the medical
field, WHAT could produce such an instantaneously violent reaction like
that.....
Whether this is an isolated incident, I have no idea.... But with all the
turmoil going on out there right now, maybe we need to be extra careful what
we open. For what its worth, I am passing it on to you.

Our custodial worker said today that Physical Plant at campus gave
them a notice that if you receive a blue envelope in the mail -telling
you that you
are a lucky winner of a prize Do NOT TO OPEN It!!!! That 26 people in
HOUSTON have died from a chemical that was on the envelope - and once
opened and smelled - they died instantly.
A lady here at work called and asked her daughter about it - and her
husband is in the military - HE said that it happened in Kansas
also.................
Our custodian worker is going to try and confirm it - again from our
head dept and let me know tomorrow - but apparently they received an
actual notice from their head Dept.! We will see-

Don't know if this is true or not, but better to be safe
than sorry these days............
Hi Everyone, this is very important and not a joke.
The mother of a friend of mine works for a hospital in Passaic NJ....
We just got word that there have been 11 deaths and over 25
more people waiting to die!
It seems someone is sending a
BLUE PACKAGE marked "Just For You"
to the homes of people in New Jersey.
When you open the package there is a sponge
which contains a LETHAL substance.
Once you touch the sponge, it gets into
your skin and YOU WILL DIE!
PLEASE be careful when getting your
mail for the next few weeks until they
catch whoever is doing this!
DO NOT let small children get your mail
or open it. If you receive this blue package,
I think you should notify your local police dept.
THANKS for reading this.
P.S. Pass this on to your family and friends PLEASE!

Subject: FW: Please read, it could save your life!
This is not a chain letter!
Yesterday, a friend of my mother's received a letter in the mail in a
very
plain looking envelope with an American Flag on it. It did not have any
sender information, and the envelope is not on her possession anymore, so
the date sent and its origin are unknown by us. The envelope was taken
by
the police for evaluation/investigation.
She proceeded to open the envelope and in the process got some powdery
substance on her body. After a few minutes she developed an "allergic
reaction". She is now under medical treatment for what they think is
Anthrax exposure. The police is not disclosing this yet, not to cause
widespread alarm.
I'm writing this to make everyone aware of this threat, it is real! I
had
an awareness class on Nuclear, Bilogical, and Chemical Warfare threats
and
Anthrax was the main focus of it because it is easy and cheap to make.
If
you'd like more information on this, let me know.
My advice to all of you is to
* Open all your mail with a letter opener, to avoid spreading any
contents on your skin.
* If exposure occurs, contact your doctor as soon as possible, medical
treatment exists but only when treated early.
* Never smell any envelopes.
* Please let those you care about know about this threat!
Disinfection of contaminated articles may be accomplished using a 0.05%
hypochlorite solution (1 tbps. bleach per gallon of water). Spore
destruction requires steam sterilization.
Anthrax spores may survive in the soil, water and on surfaces for many
years. Spores can only be destroyed by steam sterilization or burning,
but
not by disinfectants.
Antibiotic treatment is known to lessen the severity of the illness in
workers who acquire Anthrax through the skin.
There is no evidence of person-to person transmission of Anthrax.
Quarantine of affected individuals is not recommended.
When inhaled by humans, these particles cause respiratory failure and
death within a week.
Inhaled Anthrax was formerly thought to be nearly 100% fatal despite
antibiotic treatment, particularly if treatment is started after symptoms
appear.
More information may be obtained at the following sites:

Hope this helps,
Janet.

Subject: Virus
I have received two reports of friends of people I know, being hospitalized, because they have opened small packages or envelopes, from some sort of charity, that had a n American Flag on the outside of the mailing.
One of them got it from opening an empty envelope inside the mailing envelope. The other got it from puttig on a enclosed American Flag, either a decal or a pin. Both are in intensive care.
The Flag was analized, and some sort of bacteria was found. It has not been identified yet.
Please be careful opening your mail - till more is know of this threat.

Subject: UPS warning
Our UPS delivery person has told us of a disturbing problem. they have
asked us to pas the information along to those we know. The express
package
delivery services as well as the US Mail have been delivering small blue
packages to individuals. It turns out the contents of these packages, a
small sponge, contain a lethal chemical, that when you touch it will
contaminate you. The Blue package is small enough to fit in a mail box and
says a gift for you on it. If you should have one of these packages
delivered to you DO NOT open it, call the authorities and the delivery
service who brought it. UPS has notified their centers to not deliver the
packages but some are out in circulation and so far have killed 27 people.
At this point they do not know what the contaminate is and therefore there
is no antidote.
