Hi, Mr. Emery:
My late wife told me about Richard Gere and the gerbil.
In 1983 or 1984 (forget), while she was an anesthesiology resident at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, she said Gere went to ER with a gerbil stuck in him. Never heard about L.A. — but wife had no reason to make it up.
She said animal was dead and they had to remove the bones.
