How I did it
I have balanced eggs in both the spring and fall.
When I did it
I have balanced the eggs in both the spring season and the fall season on the day of the equinox, even up to two weeks either before or after the equinox. I haven't tried to balance them much past the two week period.
Lessons Learned
- I find that the eggs need to be warmed a bit. Perhaps to allow for a settling of the interior contents. Warming them in my hands for about 3 minutes seems to be enough time. Then, I can usually balance the egg within a minute. Sometimes a quick as 10 seconds. I have shown this process to the local elementary students for the past couple of years. I have even showed the students that the eggs were not "glued down" by knocking them over and then quickly standing them back up on the end.
