How I did it
I was able to balance eggs the very first time I tried during this fall equinox, but it did not work earlier... only during the time it was supposed too..... it's still standing however, but I have not been able to stand another one up since the supposed time passed... weird... not sure how scientific it is but it did work. I did this one spring too with the same results... and for the record I have never been able to make an egg stand like this any other time.... I have actually tried.... (Also no salt is needed!!! Anyone can do it that way!)
When I did it
Tried at recommended time about 8:43 pm during the fall equinox Sept 22, 2010 .... also during a full moon..... I tried balancing eggs on the same table several times before and after the time recommended but each fell over immediately. The ones I placed on the table during this time period however all stood up and are still standing as I type this.
