How I did it
I stood up the egg by holding in place long enough for the yolk to settle at the bottom and voila!
When I did it
I have never heard of doing this "trick" during the spring equinox. I live in Western Canada and here, if you stand up the egg on January 1 it will literally stay standing for about 10 days if left undisturbed. You can do it at anytime during approximately the first 10 days of January. Mysteriously, the egg rolls over after 10 days....
Lessons Learned
- The experiment has been replicated many many times successfully. The only time it doesn't work is away from the time mentioned above. It is easy to replicate and you can stand up as many eggs as you like quite easily by holding it in place for less than a minute.
